Passionate fans of Ariana Grande are demanding that a individual who leaped a fence and grabbed the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating footage reveals the Australian man shoving aside camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors walked down a promenade accompanied by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being detained", though legal records indicated that he was due to appear on the next day. It is unknown if he was charged.

History of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account contains videos of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney show in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the city last winter.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," stated an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Fans Express Concern Over the Star's Safety

Numerous fans blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed experiencing PTSD after a devastating incident at the finale of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented one more response on Instagram.

A number of attendees also questioned guards at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while some called for online networks to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was touched by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.
