Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
