The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in an LA Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, who helped create the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in California aged 55.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.
The celebrated game designer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with his family and friends, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
