The Streaming Giant Selects Spot-On Actor for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Third Season
Baroque Works is set to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t take place until season 3, and a adored, fan-favorite member has just been cast.
The platform declared Tuesday that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bentham. Bon Clay has the ability to transform into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that figure reimagined as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag performer, in the live-action show, unlike the original manga and cartoon version.
This performer joins a number of new cast members who will portray Baroque Works to reality, featuring head Sir Crocodile, brought to life by the well-known actor, an emerging star as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Though the role is a major member of the group, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. Given the next season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this represents a notable change in the placement of their first appearance, one that could suggest additional alterations to the story’s structure.
Their mix of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the character. Along with their current animated role in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s most celebrated characters.
The platform’s adapted One Piece program is set to return for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
