Twenty-four Nigerian Young Scholars Released More Than Seven Days Post Capture

A total of 24 Nigerian-born young women who were abducted from the educational institution eight days prior are now free, the country's president confirmed.

Gunmen invaded an educational institution situated within Kebbi State last month, taking the life of an employee while capturing 25 students.

The nation's leader government leadership commended military personnel concerning the "immediate reaction" to the incident - while specific details regarding their liberation were not specified.

Africa's most populous nation has suffered a spate of kidnappings during current times - with more than 250 children captured at faith-based academy recently yet to be located.

Through an announcement, an appointed consultant to the president confirmed that all the girls captured at educational facility within the region were now safe, mentioning that the incident caused copycat kidnappings in two other regional provinces.

National leadership stated that additional forces would be deployed to "vulnerable areas to avert additional occurrences involving abductions".

Via additional communication using digital platforms, government leadership stated: "Military aviation must sustain continuous surveillance throughout isolated territories, synchronising operations together with infantry to effectively identify, separate, disturb, and eliminate every threatening factor."
